Artist Statement

I have always been a creative person who enjoyed all kinds of art  and creating one of a kind gifts for family and friends. I started studying and taking art classes ten years ago and I have been actively and enthusiastically pursuing this passion. My paintings have evolved through this ten year journey and I now understand that the process of learning and creating art is a never ending endeavor. I paint places and things I have touched, taking the mundane and making it magnificent is always the challenge.
My goal always is to create a moment of awe for the viewer, something they have never seen or experienced before, something  to give peace or pleasure.  Capturing a moment in time and creating a one of a kind piece of art is a gift to the giver.
